TGIF beauty lovers, hair aficionados and nail art fans, and welcome to Friday’s beauty review where Ask the Pro Stylist chooses a favorite beauty product of the week. This Friday’s favorite is new nail lacquer from Red Carpet Manicure, a leader and innovator in at-home gel nail polish.
The first at-home professional gel nail polish brand has expanded its line with the launch into the nail lacquer category. As of February 18, ULTA Beauty Stores now carry 52 shades of the RCM Nail Lacquer with 18 of the colors able to coordinate with the brand’s LED gel nail polish line.
Since its inception in September of 2011, Red Carpet Manicure has grown as the first of its kind and become the unsurpassed leader with its at-home LED gel manicure system. Written about repeatedly here and my Examiner.com beauty columns, RCM has been featured on the catwalks of NYFW, donned the fingernails of starlets as they walked the red carpets, and received seals of approval from top beauty magazines and celebrity manicurists.
Available this month at ULTA Beauty, Ulta.com and RedCarpetManicure.com, the new RCM Nail Lacquer Collection marks the brand’s nail lacquer debut that was inspired by the many successes the gel manicure system experienced.

The collection boasts a wide variety of 52 shades across the color spectrum that range from whites and nudes to a variety of pinks, corals and blues, as well as professional base and topcoats. Additionally, 18 shades in the collection are color-matched to Red Carpet Manicure’s LED gel polish line, which is the perfect way to complement your gel mani to your pedi or fill in any chips.
The photographs above and below are my attempt at a trendy manicure using three shades of the RCM Nail Lacquer Collection. Two coats of I Simply Love Your Nails (pale pink) were applied to each nail. One application of Paparazzied went on the ring fingers only, followed by one coat of Star Studded Event on all of the nails.
