Wen Hair Care: Does it Really Work?

Wen Hair Care: Does it Really Work?

Wen Hair Care and questions on whether or not Chaz Dean’s cleansing conditioners really work are answered in this Wednesday’s Ask the Pro Stylist Q&A. My answer might surprise you.

Whoop, whoop, happy Hump Day hotties! Welcome to this Wednesday’s question and answer column where Ask the Pro Stylist attempts to clarify beauty, nails and hair care questions. The one query that is asked of me the most from my clients is if Wen Hair Care works well. This is a common question as the Wen marketing team has done a tremendous job promoting Chaz Dean’s product. With professional products not readily available to consumers, Wen is. Add to that the stamp of approval from celebrities who are the stylist’s clients and everyone is curious…job well done.

However, I have heard more complaints from people who do relent and purchase Wen and have witnessed floppy-dos after repeated use. Now, it could be the product isn’t used as directed, and with an intense amount of pumps to be used with each application (10-16 for short hair and more for longer), it might be people are conserving rather than following directions.

Now, I have noticed healthy-looking hair after Wen Hair Care use on a client who had extremely damaged locks, (not from me), but when I had to style said head for a prom (attached photo), the hair required more shampoo and styling tools than necessary for the curl to hold. This client has a natural bounce, whereas others with straight hair have complained Wen Hair Care left their head flat, which could be the reason a new Bounce & Shine product has been introduced. However, Ariana looked stunning for her prom, which was easy with such a beautiful canvas.

To be honest, I have not sampled Wen Hair Care on my own hair, and I have no interest to, not with the versatile hairstyles I enjoy wearing, and the plethora of professional products available to me. This vague response might not be the answer questioners had in mind, but it is a truthful one. If you have money to burn, then try it, and let me know your thoughts.
