Andi Dorfman and the Awful Eyebrows that Caused the Breakup

No, Andi Dorfman and her awful eyebrows aren’t the cause of the breakup with Josh Murray, or are they…? The Bachelorette couple announced the end to their engagement last week, shortly after The Bachelor with Chris Soules debuted. But then, an Instagram photo emerged of the two on the way to the red carpet premiere part for ABC’s not-so-real reality program, which showed Andi Dorfman sporting Sharpie-drawn eyebrows. Maybe Josh just couldn’t look at the caricature any longer?

Happy Monday hotties, and welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s hair police column. This week’s violation has been held onto from last week after a photo emerged in Wet Paint that revealed Andi Dorfman and a set of awful eyebrows, which appeared to be painted on by a Sharpie. The selfie was taken in the car as Dorfman and Murray drove to the premiere of Chris Soules season of The Bachelor, where a good show was put on in front of the cameras, three days before the engagement was publicly put to rest. But, maybe the breakup had nothing to do with her domineering attitude, and instead Josh couldn’t bear to look at those foreboding brows another second.

I have a thing about eyebrows. OK, so I have a thing about hair, but brows are hair and when they are wrong I obsess. When I do fill my eyebrows, I consistently and obsessively stare in the mirror asking: Are they too dark, are the lines even, or do they look drawn in and cartoonish?

What makes it worse is my judgment of others’ terrible eyebrows that are similar to Andi Dorfman. I’ve seen thin gray eyebrows of the elderly that extend to the ears. I’ve seen bright red on gingers, and although I recommend matching the color, the shade should always be one lighter than the hair, or else they are SCARY! I’ve seen men at makeup shows with Andi Dorfman Sharpie brows and stared. And I have a thing about my favorite blondes on Game of Thrones with dark brows. So, yeah, eyebrows are a little bit of a peeve of mine, especially when done WRONG.
