A reader commented on a recent Examiner article with a beauty question. She wanted to know how to recreate splatter nail designs she had seen in a slideshow and I have decided to include the answer to her beauty advice question here, as part of Ask The Pro Stylist’s weekly Q&A.
Wednesday’s are the generally the day hair and beauty advice is offered up in response to readers’ questions, however, I failed miserably in my obligations yesterday to my followers and devoted the entire day to family duties instead.
Cindi wanted to know how to recreate the splatter nail designs seen in the last picture of this slideshow, also pictured above.
“Those are some serious shades of nail polish! How do you do the look in the last picture of the slideshow?”
The answer to Cindi’s question is simple thanks to Shatter Nail Polish by O.P.I. Splatter nail designs that look like marbleized nails have become extremely popular thanks to O.P.I. Originally launching Black Shatter, the nail polish giant has now branched out into many shades of Shatter, including “Man With The Golden Gun Top Coat” used in the photograph over one to two coats of “Skyfall” from the “007 Collection”. O.P.I’s Shatter polishes splatter when applied over another color, creating a magical marble effect.
Try it on at the O.P.I website or one of the other Shatter shades to create splatter nail designs for the holidays or any special occasion. O.P.I for Sephora is available at the beauty retailer.
