Hair

  • Bumble and Bumble Repair Styling Cream is my sexy hair super styler. The Bb Glow BOND-BUILDING STYLER is a major part of my styling prep. Bb claims it polishes and builds bonds for a healthy glow. This multitasking styler smoothes, holds without stiffness and protects and fortifies against damage. Additionally, I find it also speeds up drying time. As a result, my hair has never looked better. Bumble and Bumble is a cruelty-free brand. Cost: ~$36
  • Amika Perk Up Plus dry shampoo smells delicious. I shampoo twice weekly. As a result, I am a dry shampoo junkie. Because I will be having color done two days before my baby’s big day, I will not shampoo the day of. However, I have this amazing beauty product to keep my hair smelling aromatic for days. Amika is a cruelty-free brand. Cost~$30
  • Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray anti-frizz is a styling product I use only in the humid summer months when my frizz is at its worst. Most often my above super styler suffices. But, if you need extra frizz control because your Valentine’s Day will be steamy, then I suggest spritz and style to keep your mane in check. Color Wow is cruelty-free, sulfate-free, phthalates-free, and paraben-free. Cost~$28

Skin

  • Tan Physics sunless tanning is not a shockingly orange shade as many other similar brands could be. I wanted to add some subtle color to my skin as my gown is sleeveless. Thus far, I am pleased with the results. The brand boasts moisturizing and firming skin ingredients. It is better for your skin than harmful UV rays.Cost~$39.95
  • Jones Road What the Foundation was discovered while searching for a good foundation for the upcoming wedding. Founded by makeup guru and Allstar Bobbi Brown, an ad for the below product suggestion appeared in my TikTok feed, so I had to check it out. A makeup expert helped to color match via email, which was perfect. It is lightweight, has great coverage, and moisturizes the face. She also made other suggestions, a few of which I succumbed to. Can you say, beauty junkie? Cost~$44
  • Jones Road Miracle Balm all-over glow is one of Allure’s “Best of 2022.” I did not purchase it because two shades were recommended. As funds are low, I opted instead for the Shimmer Face Oil. Another “Best of Beauty 2023,” this makeup is stunning, and adds the perfect shimmer for an elegant affair. I plan on purchasing the Miracle Balm for summer. Jones Road is sulfate-free, and phthalates-free, among other “clean beauty” factors. Cost ~$34

Eyes

  • Thrive Liquid Lash Extensions is more than mascara. After some damage to my natural lashes and irritation to my eyelids, I had to go on an eyelash extension hiatus. Since then, I made this amazing beauty discovery; one of Allure Magazine’s “Best of Beauty” from Thrive Causemetics.

Benefits include no clumping, smudging, or flaking, and a seamless removal. In addition, one of my favorite beauty products for Valentine’s Day is gentle for sensitive eyes, vegan, and cruelty-free. Finally, a portion of purchases go to charity. Cost~$25

Lips:

  • Wonderskin Wonder Blading Lip Stain Masque has been on my radar for a few months now. I gave it as Christmas gifts to family members to see if it was all it said to be. It is. I gave it a whirl on a Saturday errand day. My lips remained flawless for at least 9 hours. Did I also mention it is Allure Magazine’s Best of Beauty 2020? Wonderskin products are cruelty-free, gluten-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free, and vegan. Cost~$22-28

Where to Purchase My Best Beauty Product Recommendations

There you have it; my quick, simple, and affordable best beauty products for Valentine’s Day. Of note, some of these items are available and more affordable in large retailers such as ULTA or Amazon.com. However, while I do love my Prime and rewards points, for professional products, I purchase from the manufacturers directly. Why? For starters, Jones Road offers color-matching from knowledgeable customer service experts who coordinate and recommend complementary makeup. In addition, as a cosmetologist, I support professionals and the products they create.

Happy Styling!
