Of all the beauty products/tools I have ever encountered, none have fascinated me as much as the blow dryer. Even before I began Beauty Culture and then became a hairstylist, I have always wanted a good blow dryer to make my hair fabulous. I have thick, naturally wavy/curly hair that can be unruly and frizzy, so it is imperative that my locks forever be lovely. And the blow dryer is key in attaining fabulous hair.
Throughout the years I have had the pleasure of enjoying many different brand blow dryers in my hands, from the infamous yellow bird to handles bejeweled with rhinestones. Salon use exacerbates the wear and tear, and hairstylists literally go through blow dryers like water. Thankfully, when my last blow dryer died, (sniff, sniff) I had a replacement waiting in the wings that was sent to me to sample, thus the blow dryer review.
The Tornado 360 by KISS is a professional-grade blow dryer, perfect for salon quality hair at home. My blow dryer review is four and a half stars out of five. Why? The chord is too short for salon use; otherwise it is powerful enough to create beautiful blowouts in the shop.
My favorite attachment is the Patent Pending Heat Distribution Air Booster. While the product states it is to prevent dryer shaking and risk of heat spot damage, I felt the nozzle worked more like a diffuser on my curls and created soft, frizz-free bounce when I wasn’t straightening my hair.
No matter what blow dryer you do use, follow the tips below for beautiful hair.
- To create even heat distribution, use the nozzle attachment.
- Make sure your hair is completely dry to avoid frizz.
- To set a style, use the cooling feature when blow-drying.
