Braided Updo: How to Create a Braided Updo Sans the Pins
This Tuesday’s braided updo is actually one of 12 simple hair tutorials using the Invisibobble. The attached video details quick and easy styles for busy women on the go.
Hello hotties and welcome to Tuesday’s how-to guide. This week’s tutorial comes from my friends at Beyond the Chair and uses the Invisibobble, a unique and affordable hair accessory perfect to create the braided updo or 11 other hairstyles for busy women.
Pinless Braided Updo
- Create a square section on the top of the head.
- Tie a hair ponytail and secure with an Invisibobble.
- Loosely braid the ponytail, pulling on the sides of the braid for added volume.
- With one hand, hold a thin strand in the middle of the braid. In the other hand, press the rest of the braid down along the strand.
- Wrap the braid around the base of the ponytail, and secure the ends in a loop of the Invisibobble.
- Release the top section of hair and wrap it around the base of the braid.
- Secure the look by tucking the ends into the rings of the Invisibobble.
