Brie Larson: Get the Sexy SAG Look

Brie Larson looked stellar when she accepted her SAG Award Sunday night for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Room. The celebrity stylist responsible for her red carpet look outlined how to recreate the modern updo for Ask the Pro Stylist’s how-to guide of the week.

Happy Tuesday Gorgeous, and welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s how-to guide of the week. To celebrate red carpet season L’Oréal Paris Celebrity Hairstylist, Mara Roszak, styled the winning look for Brie Larson at the SAG Awards.

According to Roszak, “Brie wore a beautiful, powder blue Versace gown with cutouts. I wanted her hair to be modern and sleek to complement the elegant silhouette of the dress.” The breakdown to replicate the look is as follows.

1. Mara started by applying L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Lustrous Oil Serum to Brie’s damp hair.
2. She then blow-dried and flat ironed the hair.
3. Once dry and straight, she made a center part and applied L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Transforming Oil-in-Cream to smooth the hair and tame any fly-a-ways.
4. She then took each side of the hair and twisted it backwards, starting at the ear and pinning at the nape of the neck into a low ponytail.
5. Mara then sprayed L’Oréal Paris Elnett Hairspray for hold.
6. She took the ponytail and looped it, leaving the ends out for a more modern feel, and then pinned it into place.
7. To finish, Mara applied L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Nutri-Gloss High Shine Glossing Mist all over the hair to give it a glossy shine.
