Celebrity Hairstyle how-to from Nicole Kidman’s go-to Guy

Hey celebrity hairstyle and style watchers, what did you think about Nicole Kidman’s over all Grammy look? I have found throughout the years, she is not always consistent in her red carpet ensembles, but last week, I think Mrs. Urban had the total package going on, from head to toe and David Babaii, Nicole’s celebrity hairstylist has provided me with a little insight into how he created her Grammy hair.

“With the Grammy’s asking celebrities to ‘Cover-Up’, Hairstylist David Babaii ‘Un-Covered’ Nicole’s super sleek and sexy blunt bob. According to David, ‘the cut is the foundation for any look’.

He first cut Nicole’s hair into a true blunt bob so there were no layers. To keep control while cutting, he sprayed the hair with IT&LY HAIRFASHION’S 2 Phase Hydrashine. This leave in conditioning spray helps to seal and mend the ends for the perfect finish. David used his favorite Pininfarina Shears by IT&LY to execute precision cutting.

After the cut and center part, he finished the hair with IT&LY’S Pure Texture Spray to maintain optimum straightness and a flat iron to seal the sleek finish. A light spritz of IT&LY’S Pure Definition Hair Spray provided memory hold and touchable softness.”

So, as this is my blog and not my column on Examiner, I can offer my own first person commentary and humble opinion. As most of my readers are aware, I am also a working professional and Nicole Kidman’s hairstylist is most definitely correct, a precision haircut is key, especially with a celebrity hairstyle that is visually spread all over the media. Hairstylists tend to have the most critical eyes and one off part, and those of us who know are all over it. Because her celebrity hairstyle was simple, Nicole Kidman’s haircut was the selling point, flowing perfectly over her gold gown.

David Babaii finished with a light spritz of IT&LY’s Pure Definition Hair Spray, however my favorite hairspray is another from IT&LY, A.C.P. Hairfashion, a product that is currently in my bag helping to style the hair of three danseurs at a dance competition on Long Island, which would rival any celebrity hairstyle.

I love the hairspray, the smell, the hold and the restyle function. This is a favorite of mine and I highly recommend it.
