Control frizz in 5 easy ways with hair care tips from Ask the Pro Stylist. The humid weather has arrived on Long Island, and elsewhere, but that doesn’t mean we need to look untamed. Control frizz and enjoy shiny healthy hair with 5 products and hair care I highly recommend.

Happy Monday gorgeous, and welcome to the Hair Police, Ask the Pro Stylist’s start to the beauty week. I have noticed a lot of frizz as of late, especially as the warmer, humid weather has rolled in. In particular, a woman had a head of swollen hair at my son’s baseball game this past Saturday that caused me to want to run up and restyle it.

Some of us are prone to frizz, and others embrace it…good for you. But with the new technology in hair care and a plethora of beauty products to tame it, there really is no reason not to be able to control frizz.

Control Frizz in 5 Easy Ways

1. A salon smoothing is by far the simplest way to control frizz. Prices are much more reasonable than the past, with healthier, formaldehyde-free options available. For optimal results it is best to follow manufacturer’s directions and use the proper hair care and in some instances avoid the salt and/or chlorinated pool water.
2. Embrace your curls with an all-in-one cleansing conditioner. The result is frizz-free hair and incredible shine. My recent favorite cleansing conditioner is from Matrix Biolage.
3. Oil it up ladies. Of course don’t over oil, but use the right amount to control frizz this summer. I recommend BIOSILK Silk Therapy, or a newfound fave, which is great for skin also, Karelen Jojoba Joy Dry Oil.

5. And finally, another latest product I cannot live without is a trio of summer hair care from Alterna Haircare. The Bamboo Beach collection of leave-in conditioner, sun recovery spray, and texturizing spray leave the hair with beach waves sans the frizz but plenty of shine.

Be it known lovelies, not only am I a beauty writer, but also a hairstylist who suffers from unmanageable frizz. But with the products and recommended hair care above, I have managed to control frizz and have incredible shine.
