Effortless Holiday Hairstyle: Take a Cue from the Runway
For an effortless holiday hairstyle this season, take a cue from the runway. This week’s how-to guide of the week keeps the hair off the Thanksgiving cook’s face, yet has a soft look for any age.
Happy Tuesday gorgeous! As such it is time for another beauty guide from Ask the Pro Stylist. Since Thanksgiving is next week, I thought I would share this effortless holiday hairstyle, perfect for the holiday cook.
This fashion season at Tory Burch, Redken Global Creative Director Guido put forth effortless texture for the SS 2017 Show. According to Guido, “What I like about this hair – half up, half down – is that there is something effortless and chic about it. As a result, every girl can do it. It’s a 1960s/early 70s Ali MacGraw east-coast-meets-west coast kind of girl, who might have done a small braid or a classic half up, half down style. When we look at them today, it feels very nostalgic, but right.”
To get this effortless holiday hairstyle, Guido’s guide for an effortless holiday hairstyle is as follows.
- To begin, wash hair with Beach Envy Volume Texturizing Shampoo and air dry.
- Next, spray in Wind Blown 05 for texture.
- Finish with a curling iron as to create sporadic, natural waves.
- Then, create a center part.
- Pull back two sections of hair from the temple, leaving wisps loose around the front hairline.
- Secure hair in the back with an elastic.
- To finish, use a section of hair from the ponytail to wrap hair around and conceal the elastic. Additionally, secure the end piece underneath the ponytail with a bobby pin.
- Finally, spray Wind Blown 05 to increase hair texture and complete the natural, beachy look.
