Emma Stone Celebrity Hairstyle from the 2015 Golden Globes

Emma Stone looked amazing at the 2015 Golden Globes. She opted for a crystal bodice custom Lanvin jumpsuit with a bowed tail, accented by a textured bob that was slightly pinned back. Emma’s red carpet style was a refreshing change of pace from the gown, and I am obsessed with her red bob. I love creating that texture. Stone’s celebrity hairstylist detailed how to get her Golden Globe look.

This Tuesday’s how-to of course comes from the Golden Globes and the hair Emma Stone wore on the red carpet. My favorite looks from the 2015 Golden Globes could be seen on Jennifer Lopez with sexy hair and sultry makeup, as well as Emma Stone, Naomi Watts and Reese Witherspoon, among others. While there must have been a celebrity hairstyle secret looming around Hollywood to pin one side back, each style brought its own variation. Although somewhat cookiecutterish, I still loved it. The Cabaret star had a unique twist, with a silver hair accessory in the back.

Emma Stone Celebrity Hairstyle from the 2015 Golden Globes by Mara Roszak

Celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak for L’Oreal Paris took inspiration for Emma Stone’s hair from her jumpsuit because as she says, it was “completely unexpected” and one of Mara’s all-time favorites, which motivated the “modern, naturally tousled but not overdone hair.” Mara’s breakdown for the Emma Stone at the Golden Globes is as follows.

  1. To prep, Mara applied L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Texture Series Tousle Crème to the hair for texture.
  2. Next, Mara rough dried the hair until almost dry and then spritzed L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Txt it Tousle Waves Spray, and continued to rough dry completely.
  3. With a medium sized round brush, Mara smoothed out the front pieces for a more polished look.
  4. Using the ghd Classic Wave Wand, Mara took random sections around the head, about 1″ thick, and wrapped them around the barrel. Due to its oval shape, this iron gives the hair a more effortless looking wave.
  5. To break up the style and add slight volume and texture, Mara sprayed L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Blow Dry It Longwear Spray.
  6. For an added red carpet touch, Mara placed a modern silver bar hair accessory by the French designer, Hair DesignAccess to the back of Emma’s hair.
  7. To finish the look, Mara sprayed L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Lock It Weather Control Hairspray to withstand the unexpected rainy LA weather.
