Emma Stone Oscar Hair: Get Emma Stone’s Style and Color Tips
Emma Stone Oscar hair was of of my favorites from the Academy Awards, and is featured in this Tuesday’s how-to guide by Ask the Pro Stylist. Get Emma Stone’s celebrity hairstyle tips from L’Oréal Paris’ Mara Roszak and hair color secrets from Redken’s Tracy Cunningham.
Hello gorgeous! Welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s How-to Tuesday guide to incredible hair. This week we are still all about the Oscars. Emma Stone knocked it out of the park with her gorgeous locks to complement her Elie Saab gown. Or should I say her celebrity hairstylist and colorist did. Emma Stone Oscar hair is detailed below, with hair color tips from Redken first.
As readers are hopefully aware, not only am I a beauty writer, but also a salon professional, and therefore hate at-home hair color, which was evident in my Giuliana Rancic rant, who BTW is an absolute moron. As such, I only endorse professional hair color, never pharmacy brands, which is why I was thrilled to receive Redken Colorist Tracey Cunningham‘s color tips for Emma Stone Oscar hair.
Emma Stone Oscar Hair Color
Tracey applied Redken Shades EQ Cream to add shine and achieve a brighter version of Emma’s red color. Tracey ensured The Birdman star’s hair had maximum shine with a finish of Shades EQ Gloss, a no-ammonia, no-lift formula that acts as a glaze, color refresher and color corrector. Cunningham advises to protect the salon service with Redken Color Extend Magnetics Sulfate-Free Haircare aftercare to seal in color and deliver maximum vibrancy and shine.
Emma Stone Oscar Hair Look
Mara Roszak, L’Oréal Paris Celebrity Hairstylist used Emma Stone’s lacey Elie Saab Oscar gown as inspiration for the look. “The striking green color against her red hair reminded me of a beautiful, watercolor painting, very whimsical and 1930s, so I wanted the hair to have a similar feel.”
- To begin, wash the hair with a smoothing shampoo and conditioner like Advanced Haircare Smooth Intense Polishing Shampoo and Conditioner.
- Apply L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Curve It Elastic Curl Mousse and then roughdry the hair
- “This style was all about the waves,” which were created using a 1’’ ghd Curve Classic Curl Iron.
- After curling the hair, Mara pin-curled the hair and let it set for a minute.
- Release the pin-curls and shape the hair into an “S” wave with a comb and hands, really focusing on the front of the hair
- Once the front is perfect, pin up the rest of the hair into a loose, soft chignon.
- Finish with L’Oreal Paris Elnett Extra Hold Hairspray all over the hair to set the style, and then spray with L’Oreal Paris Advance Hairstyle Lock It Weather Control Hairspray for rainy days.
Tune in next Tuesday for another how-to similar to today’s Emma Stone Oscar hair guide. Until then, happy styling.
