Favorite Celebrity Hairstyles of the Oscars: Reese and Jennifer

The trek down Oscars’ red carpet has begun and ‘Ask the Pro’ has selected my two favorite celebrity hairstyles of the evening, worn by Reese Witherspoon and Academy Award nominee, Jennifer Lawrence. But, leave it to the eyes of a professional hairstylist to see one loose hairpin flopping in the wind! Oops!

The Oscars is the Super Bowl of fashion, glamour, movies and of course, celebrity hairstyles. It didn’t take long for me to choose my two favorites of the red carpet, Reese Witherspoon and Oscar Nominee for “Silver Linings Playbook”, Jennifer Lawrence.

Starting with Reese Witherspoon, her Oscar red carpet celebrity hairstyle reflects old Hollywood glamour, my favorite look, and a perfect match for her strapless, navy Louis Vuitton stunner. Reese’s deep finger waves among smooth bounce may seem like a contradiction on paper, but just look at the photos to witness how picturesque her look is.

Who doesn’t love Jennifer Lawrence? The 5’8”, 22-year-old actress rocks every red carpet, and she didn’t disappoint as she strutted down Oscars’. Just landing the campaign for Miss Dior, it was not surprising to see Jennifer Lawrence wearing champagne Dior Haute Couture. Her low bun, up-do, pulled away from of her face is an elegant, yet varied twist to similar looks of the night. I hope whoever touches her up backstage, shoves the dangling hairpin back in her bun. Leave it to my eyes to catch the minutest flaw on the best dressed of the night. However, nothing can ever take away from the best actress nominee’s stunning appearance on Oscars’ red carpet.

While other Hollywood mega stars wore celebrity hairstyles similar to Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Lawrence, these two achieved style perfection on Oscars’ red carpet. Feel free to chime in and comment on your favorite celebrity hairstyle of the 85th Annual Academy Awards.
