Get sexy, shiny Glee hair care tips from the celebrity hairstylist for Naya Rivera in this Tuesday’s how-to guide from Ask the Pro Stylist.
Welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s How-to Tuesday. This week’s hair care tips come from the set of Glee. Although Glee’s popularity is waning, the eternal youth of the show’s twenty-something-year-old stars that play high school or newly graduated college students fascinate fans.
In recent Cosmopolitan UK and Teen Vogue spreads, Tena Parker Baker, Glee’s hairstylist, revealed her top backstage secrets for the cast, including the sultry character of Santana, played by the beautiful Naya Rivera.
Santana’s look has changed. It used to be a high, Cheerios ponytail. But after she graduated, it became free flowing! Since Naya Rivera is one to experiment with her hair in real life, Baker created consistency for her character by designing a full lace wig. A crewmember was once amazed that Naya went from blonde to brunette so quickly, she laughs. I just told him I have a magic wand!
Besides a magic wand in the form of a brunette wig, what fabulous product does the Glee stylist use on Naya Rivera to keep her hair shiny? Baker applies a favorite of Ask the Pro Stylist, White Sands Orchid Oil.
Naya River recently heavily highlighted her hair similar to Kim Kardashian. White Sands Orchid Oil smells delicious, tames frizz and creates ultimate shine. Use on damp hair then style. For additional shine add to styled hair and for intense shine, apply the Orchid Oil to the hair prior to flat ironing, for glossy, straight hair.
