Glitter Fade Nails How-to: Get the NYFW Look
Glitter fade nails are perfect for any occasion; to add sparkle to a spring wardrobe, or accessorize evening attire. Manicurist Gina Edwards for KISS Products, Inc. created gold glitter faded nails for the Carmen Marc Vavlo Fall/Winter 2016 Collection this past New York Fashion Week, and has provided Ask the Pro Stylist with the how-to for this Tuesday.
Happy Tuesday beautiful and welcome to this week’s how-to guide from Ask the Pro Stylist! We make a return to nails with a step-by-step nails tutorial from the runways of NYFW. On February 16 Gina Edwards for KISS crafted glitter fade nails to complement the vision of fashion designer Carmen Marc Valvo.
According to Gina, “The painterly vision of the Vienna Secession serves as the inspiration for Carmen Marc Valvo Fall 2016 Collection, combining floral flourishes with geometric industrial accents.” The celebrity manicurist lightly polished gold KISS Nail Artist Paint onto nude nails. “This glitter fade effect adds some ‘sparkle’ to an otherwise classic manicure.”
To get the glitter fade nails look from NYFW, Gina has provided the following nail tutorial.
- Apply two coats of KISS Gel Strong Polish in Vitamin and let dry.
- Using KISS Nail Artist Paint in gold, pour a few drops onto wax or foil.
- Using the flat brush from the KISS Salon Secrets Nail Art Tool Kit, lightly paint polish upward from the tip of the nail to the center to create a fade of glitter.
- Follow with topcoat.
The KISS Nail Artist Paint & Stencil Kit is approximately $6.99, and available at Walgreens. KISS Gel Strong Polish is $3.99 at Kmart and KISS Salon Secrets Nail Art Tool Kit is only $5.00, which could be found at Walmart.
Visit next Tuesday for another hair, nails or beauty how-to similar to this week’s glitter fade nails off the runway. Until then, happy styling!
