Hair Shine Tips: Add Shine Without The Crunch
Need hair shine tips? This Wednesday’s Q&A with Ask the Pro Stylist addresses the need for hair shine without the crunch.
Whoop, whoop it’s Hump Day! Welcome gorgeous to the Wednesday Q&A with Ask the Pro Stylist. This week answers a guest’s question who wanted information to increase his hair shine.
Actually, this has been a recurring question for both men and women. With hair shine indicating healthy locks, more people want added gloss. Most hair color imparts sheen, but what are the virgin heads or the men to do that want to emulate some of their favorite looks?
A young man recently asked this of me. He wanted hair shine tips, but didn’t want the stiffness of gel or hairspray. I recommended Bamboo Beach Summer Sunshine Spray by Alterna Haircare. I personally use it when my hair gets dull. However, there are many hair care products that spray on shine that create the same result. Serums and oils also work wonders, but caution should be used when applying. Adding too much to hair that isn’t color treated could make the hair look greasy rather than shiny.
Some hair color has a mousy appearance that unfortunately lacks luster. Adding a semi-permanent hair color will impart hair shine as well. You don’t have to change the color. Your colorist will know to use clear or a shade similar to your own.
These are the best options for minimal product use that add a natural hair shine. If you have a question for me, please email it to DeirdreAHaggerty@gmail.com. Until then, happy styling!
