Julianne Moore Golden Globes Beauty Breakdown
Julianne Moore wore a stunning blue sequin Tom Ford gown with complementary makeup and nails to the 2016 Golden Globe Awards. Her look was crafted by the pros for L’Oréal Paris, and the beauty breakdown is this Tuesday’s weekly how-to.
Happy Tuesday beautiful, and welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s how-to guide of the week, dedicated of course to all-things Golden Globes. The ageless Julianne Moore looked beautiful on the red carpet, and according to Elaine Offers, the makeup artist behind her look, the gown was “liquid-y and glamorous. She didn’t want anything too dark, smoky or matchy-matchy to compete with the dress, so we went with a more natural, fresh eye and lip.”
As a brand representative for L’Oréal Paris, who also sponsored this year’s Golden Globes, Julianne Moore wore skincare and makeup from the juggernaut as applied by celebrity makeup artist Elaine Offers. Her beauty breakdown is below.
- Julianne’s skin was prepped with Revitalift Volume Filler Serum, and then a bit of Revitalift Daily Volumizing Moisturizer was applied; setting in while Julianne got her hair done.
- To control shine, Revitalift Miracle Blur was tapped on just in the T-zone and chin areas.
- Next, True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup in Porcelain/Light Ivory was blended all over the face.
- To further conceal and brighten, Visible Lift Serum Absolute Concealer in Fair was applied, and warmth, shape and dimension was added to the jaw and cheekbone with Infalillible Pro-Contour Palette.
- On the apples of Julianne’s cheeks, Elaine combined Visible Lift Blur Blush in Soft Berry and Soft Pink, and accented the inner eye and bridge of nose with True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator in Golden.
- Elaine shaded eyelids with dusty, rose tones from the Colour Riche La Palette in Nude 2, and for added twinkle, Infallible 24H Eye Shadow in Endless Pearl was applied to the inner corners.
- To create depth, she lined tight to lashes with Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in Charcoal and smudged with a brush.
- Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in Brown was used in waterlines to sharpen up natural eye shape.
- Elaine curled lashes, applied a few coats of primer and topped off with Voluminous Superstar Mascara.
- Lips were finished off with a hydrated kiss of nude-pink color using Colour Riche Lipcolor in Gilded Pink.
Julianne Moore also had her nails done for the Golden Globes with polish from L’Oréal Paris applied by Global Manicurist, Tom Bachik who was inspired by her Tom Ford gown. “We wanted to contrast the gorgeous hue and keep her nails simple with a full coverage nude shade.” His nail how-to is as follows.
- First, the nails were filed into a classic round shape.
- He next applied L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Color in Walk on the Beach to Julianne’s nails.
- Once dry, he applied L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Color in Top of the Line for the topcoat.
Nail tip: Tom advises maintaining a manicure using L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Facial Oil … a drop on each nail 1-2 times daily to keep nail color looking fresh and shiny, and cuticles hydrated.
