Men’s Hairstyles for Round Faces
Looking for men’s hairstyles that suit round faces? What face shapes are more esthetically pleasing? The answers might surprise you.
Whoop, whoop! Happy Hump Day hotties and welcome to another Wednesday edition of Ask the Pro Stylist. Today’s hair question comes from a college student/client of mine that is more like a son, maybe because he is a best friend to mine. He consistently changes his cut, as he is always on the hunt for men’s hairstyles for round faces.
Hey, I saw the article you posted about back to school haircuts. I was actually wondering what kind of haircuts would look on a person with a rounder face (i.e. me).
Back in the day there used to be a greater emphasis on face shapes with oval the most esthetically pleasing, and hairstyles arranged to create the façade of a perfectly shaped face. This is not necessarily the case any longer as diversity has seeped into what the masses deem “perfect beauty.” And a square face on a man is said to characterize masculinity and sex appeal. The bottom line is we are all beautiful in our own special way, and someone will find your face shape perfect because your inner beauty will reflect through.
However, there are specific men’s hairstyles for round faces that create the appearance of more angular lines and lengthen the face. A tousled bit of height elongates a round face. A little length in the back and/or longer sideburns creates the illusion of a square jaw as does a five-o’clock shadow.
Knowing Kevin as I do, I feel he would look great with one of the three men’s hairstyles for round faces below. Click here if you aren’t sure what face shape you have. My personal favorite for Kevin is Freddy Rodriguez.
