MET Gala Beauty: Get Emma Stone’s Look

Get the MET Gala beauty look as seen on Emma Stone last Monday in this week’s How-to Tuesday from Ask the Pro Stylist. Stone’s hairstyle had an elegant feel that complemented her Prada gown.

Happy Tuesday gorgeous and welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s How-to Guide of the week! Today we flashback to last Monday when the fashion-forward flocked to New York City for the annual MET Ball. L’Oréal Paris Celebrity Hairstylist Mara Roszak completed the MET Gala beauty for Emma Stone who wore a “gorgeous white, flowy Prada gown with sharp gunmetal details for an ethereal, yet edgy look,” says Mara. “We wanted the hair to have a strong, powerful presence.”

Using hairstyling tools from L’Oréal Paris, Roszak broke down how to get Emma Stone’s MET Gala beauty, which is as follows.

  1. Mara started by washing and conditioning Emma’s hair with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Shampoo and Conditioner.
  2. Next, Mara prepped Emma’s hair with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It Volume Inject Mousse, and then parted it off to the side. To disguise Emma’s fringe, she pinned it away.
  3. Using a small round brush and ghd air™ hairdryer, she blow-dried the hair to create volume.
  4. She then pin curled the hair and sprayed it all over with L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray Strong Hold.
  5. After several minutes, Mara took the pins out and used the 1-¼ inch ghd Curve Soft Curl Iron to go over the curls.
  6. She then brushed out the curls to create looser waves, spritzed the hair all over with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Sleek it Stand-Smoother Serum Spray for shine and finished with an application of L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray Strong Hold to keep the hair in place.
