The Golden Globes aired last night on NBC and the stars paraded the red carpet in their usual fashion showing off designer dresses and the latest trends in celebrity hairstyles.
Below are my choices of the top five celebrity hairstyles from the Golden Globes and two that needed a little extra work for the red carpet.
Old Hollywood glamour, akin to Veronica Lake, was the beauty trend of the Golden Globes seen on the top five celebrity hairstyles of the night.
Jennifer Lopez: I just hate to love her, but she is beautiful and last night she stunned in glamorous Hollywood hairstyle.
Jessica Alba: So maybe the two hot Latinas frequented the same stylist, but they both oozed sensuality with these celebrity hairstyles that accented Jessica’s ombre highlights.
Tina Fey: The co-host with the most at the Golden Globes looked sultry hot this year, especially after some failed red carpet looks in years’ past.
Hayden Panetierre: The “Nashville” actress capitalized on the old Hollywood glamour look, but made it modern for a younger generation to fall in love with. She was one of my favorite celebrity hairstyles from the Golden Globes adding a touch of fullness to her golden blonde locks.
Amy Adams: I loved Amy Adams’ finger waved, side bun, but her hairstyle flopped when her celebrity hairstylist decided to leave in the hairpins! “Gasp” Ok, so maybe it wasn’t horrific, but the couture and the formality of the Golden Globes required something a tad more fashionable than hairpins, whether it is the trend or not.
The hairpins made Amy Adams’ look one of my choices for the Golden Globes celebrity hairstyles that needed a little extra work, like taking out the hairpins, or opting for a fashionable clip or just a little extra hairspray to keep the side in place.
Emily Mortimer: The English actress seems to have been caught in a violent wind tunnel and opted out of a hairbrush for her trek down the red carpet of the Golden Globes. Tousled may be in style, but hers was one of the worst celebrity hairstyles of the night, sad too, because she is a lovely woman. She just needed a little extra smoothing and the hairstyle would have worked.
