NYFW Hair Recap: Get Ralph Lauren’s Lustrous Locks From The Runway

Today’s NYFW hair recap is straight off the Ralph Lauren Fall/Winter runway. Get lustrous locks similar to the models’ looks with tips from Redken.

Happy weekend gorgeous! Since receiving a multitude of beauty guides from Fashion Week, I’d thought I’d share one extra this Saturday. So, welcome to another of Ask the Pro Stylist’s how-to, a NYFW hair recap.

As fashion week finishes, Redken Global Creative Director Guido offers tips to look runway ready. He capitalizes on lustrous texture at Ralph Lauren’s FW 2017 Show. According to the stylist, “The hair is very on-trend with lustrous, air-dried texture. I start out by prepping the hair with All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner to soften the look. Then we’re taking a look at the girls’ natural texture and adding a bit of Glow Dry Style Enhancing Blow Dry Oil. As a result, the hair has soft shine while it dries.”

To get the look, follow Guido’s NYFW hair recap below:

  1. First, prep hair with All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner to cleanse and add softness and shine.
  2. While the hair is damp, apply a pea-size amount of Glow Dry Style Enhancing Blow Dry Oil. This will help create a softer texture and give additional shine.
  3. In addition, create a center part using fingertips.
  4. If time permits, allow hair to air dry. Or, diffuse if necessary.
  5. To finish, brush through the length with a boar-bristled brush to soften texture.
  6. Finally, to add bend to the hair, use a curling iron on random sections and brush through.
