Red Heads Continue to be Hot Hair Color Trend: Get the Look

Red heads show no sign of slowing down as one of the hottest hair color trends. Pasquale Caselle, International Creative Director and Celebrity Hairstylist for IT&LY HAIRFASHION, created Power Red to embrace the strength, love and emotion that the color red signifies and detailed the formula below for Ask the Pro Stylist.

Using my favorite hair color line, IT&LY HAIRFASHION, Pasquale Caselle has provided the formula he used on Anastasia McMannus’ hair, the model featured above and below. And I have to note, before I divulge Caselle’s secret formula for hot red heads, that I have tried and used many brands, but none compare to the shine, richness and color lock that IT&LY imposes on the hair.

To achieve the Power Red on Anastasia’s natural level 5 hair color, Pasquale mixed equal parts IT&LY’s Aquarly 7RF (Flaming Red Medium Blonde) and 7R (Medium Copper Blonde), to the root area first.

While the red processed, he began to slice her hair with IT&LY’s tube bleach Blondly mixed with 30-volume developer to lift the hair to a pale yellow.
Once achieved, he removed the foils and ran the remaining 7RF and 7R mixture through the hair from scalp to ends and processed for 10 minutes.
After a thorough rinse and shampoo, Pasquale gently towel dried the hair for the final step.
Mix IT&LY’s Light + Passion toner in Copper with 10-volume developer, and then apply the color over the entire head and process for 20 minutes to add that extra power red.
Finally, rinse, shampoo and condition with IT&LY’s Advanced Color Protection to preserve and condition the hair, the perfect hair care to keep red heads hot.

To style Anastasia’s newly red head, Pasquale selected Pure Mousse Strong and distributed it evenly throughout the hair.

Next, he used a large round brush at the base for volume and lift, and then switched to a medium round brush to finish the ends.
For soft, sexy curls, Pasquale took large sections and sprayed each one with IT&LY’s Pure Texture, and then wrapped the hair around a 1 ½” curling iron.
To finish, he sprayed the hair with IT&LY”S Pure Definition Hair Spray for great memory hold.
