Self-Tanning Serum Review: It’s Sublime & Then Some

It’s time for self-tanning. Although the calendar reads spring, Mother Nature isn’t done with her winter assault. Warm the spirit with thoughts of tanned skin, sunny days, and sand in your toes. Because shorts weather really is right around the corner, the moment has come to bronze the skin with a self-tanning serum, and this Friday’s favorite is quite possibly one of the best beauty products for that summer glow I have ever sampled.

TGIF (said no stylist ever)! While I do have a booked day tomorrow, I still love Friday, and wish a happy weekend to my readers lucky enough to be off. This Friday’s favorite beauty product of the week is the Sublime Self-Tanning Serum from L’Oréal Paris.

I generally start self-tanning when spring arrives, especially on my legs. I have sampled many brands, and yes, while it might seem I fall in love quickly (as I am a self-professed beauty junky), I truly do write only about my favorites. For my legs I prefer an at-home airbrush sunless tan, Micro Mist from Neutrogena, but for my face, the Sublime Self-Tanning Serum by L’Oréal Paris is my go-to tanner.

I needed a quick tan recently and turned to the handy dandy bottle recently sent to me from the beauty giant. The self-tanning instructions said it could be used for the entire body, but I only needed it for my face at the moment because it is still TOO COLD for light clothes.

I loved the evenness, the color and my skin tone after applying. I moisturized as usual and felt my skin looked as if I spent a day at the beach, in other words, alive and not like a vampire thanks to this awful winter.

Brand packaging states it is L’Oréal Paris’ “longest-lasting tan: Up to 2 weeks and 100% natural looking tan that is quick drying and streak-free,” all true by the way. Of course it is always recommended to follow the instructions prior to the first use.
