Simple Beach Waves For The Perfect Summer Look
Simple beach waves are easy to attain this summer with a few tips from Kérastase Consulting Hairstylist, Matt Fugate. He styled stunner Karlie Kloss’ hair for the recent movie premiere of the EPIX Original Documentary Serena, The Other Side of Greatness. To recreate the look, follow his guide below.
Happy Tuesday gorgeous and welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s beauty guide of the week for simple beach waves. Matt Fugate, Kérastase Consulting Hairstylist, is responsible for creating the 23-year-old fashion model’s “model-off-duty-hair.” As a result, today’s how-to focuses on a refreshing look for summer.
According to Matt, “I wanted to give Karlie Kloss a very simple look with a twist. Adding an abstract bend at her cheekbones” brought change to classic beach waves.
While there are many ways to perfect simple beach waves with an iron or just products, Matt’s technique utilizes the iron in one spot of each hair section. Using hair products from Kérastase Paris, Matt offers his step-by-step guide to recreate simple beach waves. For thicker hair take smaller sections.
- First of all, prep hair with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Boost It Air-Whipped Densifying Foam at the roots.
- Next, apply Kérastase L’incroyable Blowdry on the hair’s ends. Blow-dry with just the fingers to guarantee a natural look.
- Especially relevant, create the kink with the iron by wrapping the hair around it in the middle of each section.
- In addition, spray Kérastase Elixir Ultime Bi-Phase Spray Oil for a shimmering yet lived-in feel.
- Finally, brush out the hair until it sits into a “perfectly disheveled” moment.
Visit next Tuesday for another beauty breakdown similar to today’s simple beach waves hair tutorial. Because of the sun’s harsh rays, remember to use some type of UV protection on the hair. Until then, happy styling!
