Simple Halloween Hair Guide: Get the Sansa Stark Look
For a simple Halloween hair guide this year, get the Sansa Stark look. Redken Global Director Guido is the designer behind the Valentino Spring/Summer 2017 romantic braid, which is the perfect style for Game of Thrones’ fans.
Happy Tuesday beautiful, and welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s hair how-to of the week. To celebrate the pending spooky holiday, we have a simple Halloween hair guide. For fans of Game of Thrones, nothing beats a romantic braid full of texture. It is ideal for any of the leading ladies, however for me, I see Sansa Stark.
The long romantic braid was the masterpiece of Redken Global Director Guido for the Valentino Spring/Summer 2017. According to Guido, “We’re doing a long, romantic braid at the Valentino show. On clean hair, we’re braiding using Wind Blown 05 to help texturize. Then we’re slightly waving the front around the hairline with a curling iron. It’s a very soft, very romantic, very feminine, very girly, very desirable look. It takes inspiration from the Victorian Era, but in a 1970’s way.”
The steps for today’s simple Halloween hair for a Sansa Stark feel are as follows.
- On clean hair, create a clean center part with fingers. Then, allow hair to fully air-dry.
- Use a curling iron to curl random sections of hair to achieve movement.
- Curl each of the front 1-inch sections of hair, away from the face.
- Pull two 1-inch sections of hair from the front, cross over in the back and secure with a bobby pin on each side.
- In addition, spray Wind Blown 05 on the back length of hair for added airy texture.
- Starting below the pinned sections of hair, loosely braid the length of hair and secure with a hair tie.
- To finish, use fingers to create added volume and texture throughout the crown of hair.
