Summer Looks: Hair Inspiration From Actress Danielle Fishel

For hot summer looks, turn to celebrities for inspiration. Boy Meets World actress Danielle Fishel received a summer transformation from celebrity hairstylist Laurie Heaps. Learn how to replicate her hot new hair look in this week’s hair guide.

Happy Tuesday Hot Stuff! As such, it is time for another hair how-to from  Ask the Pro Stylist. This week we have hot summer looks from celebrity hairstylist Laurie Heaps.

She recently worked with actress Danielle Fishel  for a new cut and color, just in time for summer. Creating honey blonde highlights, Laurie added babylights through the roots with some brighter pieces around her face. In addition, lots of blonde balayage on the ends keeps the color current.

Says Laurie, “For the cut, we put in lots of piecey layers. Also, removing a lot of weight out of the ends creates texture. Once the cut and color were complete, Danielle wanted a more undone, effortless look.”

Summer Looks

As a fun pop culture beauty tie in, Danielle’s IG has side by side photos of the iconic self-haircut scene from Boy Meets World and then Laurie’s new style. To get the 36-year-old actress’ cut and color, bring a photo to your professional. To achieve her hairstyle, follow the summer looks hair guide from Laurie Heaps below.

  1. Danielle has naturally curly hair. Therefore, applying Redken Straight Lissage Align 12 Lotion all over the hair strengthens, while adding control to your blowout. As a result, hair is super sleek for summer.
  2. Next, blow dry the hair with a large round brush. However, make sure to take small sections. You will have more control while drying and can smooth each one perfectly straight.
  3. Once dry, take larger, 2-inch sections of hair. Spray each with White Sands Liquid Texture Medium Hold Thermal Spray. It holds the curl in until you shampoo it out, yet the hair is soft and brushable. In addition, it is also thermal intelligent. So, the more heat you use with an iron, the shinier the hair becomes.
  4. Next, wrap each 2-inch section around the DURA CHI 1″ Ceramic Spring Curling Iron, leaving the ends out. It is important to alternate the direction of the hair each time to give a tousled look.
  5. To finish, use the CHI Original Professional 1 Ceramic Flat Iron.  Run it through the ends and tap it in areas that look too curly.
