In what would appear to be a last ditch effort at five more minutes of fame, Patricia Krentcil, aka the New Jersey Tanning Mom, made a failed attempt to twerk on YouTube. As if Miley Cyrus’s tragedy wasn’t enough to turn people off from the popular dance move.
Twerking With Tan Mom aka Patricia Krentcil was published to YouTube on September 12 by her label, Reality Star Records, in what seems to be a ploy to download her songs from iTunes. Yes, the Tanning Mom who rose to fame for taking tanning to the extreme has two singles, “The Life of the Party” and “It’s Tan Mom”.
If you aren’t aware, The New Jersey Tanning Mom had child neglect charges brought against her for allegedly taking her then, 5-year-old daughter into a UV tanning bed to bronze. Her ragged and weathered skin brought immediate and negative media attention. The 45-year-old was not only criticized for bad parenting, but also for tanorexia, or obsessive tanning.
Five minutes of fame wasn’t enough for Tan Mom who has been attempting to breakout in the music biz or any biz for that matter. Krentcil’s minute-plus-long twerking video, and NO, that is not how to twerk, begins with the Tanning Mom dressed in a red bathing suit twerking on her hands, feet up in the air, in a plank position to “Bubble Butt”, featuring Bruno Mars, Tyga and Mystic. (Tan Mom, you don’t have a bubble butt.) Costume change into gray tank, pink hoodie and black shorts, and Tanning Mom looks like she is having a seizure. Then, back to the red suit with black mini-skort and white tennis shoes for the grand finale, thankfully.
It is comical to watch, yet sad that the Tanning Mom Twerking Video has received over 88,000 views. However, what makes this worth watching is the first hysterical comment listed under Krentcil’s YouTube post by Mulder1979, “I think my penis just committed suicide.”
