The Wet Look Tutorial: Style Tips For Medium-Long Hair

This Tuesday’s wet look tutorial is brought to you by one of my favorite brands, CHI Haircare. In addition, the stylist responsible for the work has a client list that spans from the Kardashians to Kelly Rowland. Get the look below.

Happy Tuesday beautiful! As such, it is time for another of Ask the Pro Stylist’s weekly hair guides. Today’s wet look tutorial comes from Justine Marjan. Her famous clientele includes notable celebs such as the Kardashians, Chrissy Teigen, Lily Aldridge, Olivia Culpo, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Rachel Zoe, and Kelly Rowland, to name a few.

Using CHI Haircare, she has put together a few of her favorite celebrity looks. However, only the wet look tutorial is below. The step-by-step video could also be seen on her Instagram account.

  1. To begin, use a Dura CHI ¾” Clamp Curling Iron to twist the hair in different directions.
  2. Next, run a ton of CHI Argan Oil through the hair, and then add CHI Spray Wax for a wet shine.
  3. To finish, spray with lots of CHI Helmet Head Hairspray for hold.

The wet look tutorial works well on medium to longer hairstyles. However, those with fine/thin hair should be wary. Piling on a “ton of Argan oil” will weigh hair down. As a result, the waves will not hold, leaving hair flat and lifeless. This style is better suited for medium densities and higher.

CHI Haircare is available at Loxa Beauty or professional salons. For more hair guides similar to this week’s wet look tutorial, visit next Tuesday. Until then, happy styling!
