When Caitlyn Jenner Looks Better Than You Do

By now you have seen Caitlyn Jenner on the July 15 cover of Vanity Fair, shot by the famed Annie Leibovitz. It didn’t come as a surprise that Jenner looked stunning, but what did shock, at least me, were how quick other women were to claim how well Photoshop worked. Caitlyn Jenner has been a woman for 2-minutes, and already the haters chime in. Tsk, tsk, tsk!

Happy Monday hotties, and welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s Hair Police column for the week. No, I am not going to rip on Bruce Jenner’s Vanity Fair reveal, “Call me Caitlyn.” However, I plan on slamming the hate that has already spread, critiquing her beauty.

Elvis Duran and the Morning Show discussed bitchy women Monday morning, and how so many gather to pick apart others of the same sex. The conversation bothered me because it is terribly true. I touched on this last Monday, and didn’t want to be redundant, but then I saw a Facebook post of Caitlyn Jenner captioned with something about how great Photoshop is, it all fell into place.

First of all, let’s begin with Annie Leibovitz who photographed Caitlyn Jenner for the Vanity Fair July 15 issue. Even if one isn’t aware of her impressive catalog of work, she is the most recognizable name in photography, and her pictures should never be labeled with the term Photoshop, regardless if certain aspects of Jenner’s appear enhanced or not, which could have been done with lighting, staging and makeup…all tools of the trade before Photoshop existed.

I am not a fan of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. But it took a lot for Bruce to come out as publicly as she did, and admit she wanted to live the rest of her life the way she has always felt, as a woman. Call it courageous, or whatever adjective you think best suits the situation, but what you should never do is criticize her.

Although as I stated above, I am no fan of the family, however, one cannot take away from the fact that they are all beautiful, and extremely well put together. Who cares what surgery or procedures they had to assist with it! With the girls behind her, it was obvious Caitlyn would be gorgeous, and she is…Period! Maybe the haters are just jealous that at 65, she looks amazing, work or no work.

As I stated last week, we women need to lift and support one another, not tear each other down. Stop critiquing Caitlyn Jenner or any other female for that matter. It is time we all stood together and embraced our differences, not bashed them. This isn’t feminism; it is simply love for a beautiful gender. And we are all beautiful.
